Q: How much does it cost to place an ad?
A: Ad Placement is free for most ad categories. Click here to see our posting fees.
Q: Is there a limit on how many ads can be placed?
A: No, there is no limit to the number of ads any one user can place on the site. However, listing the same ad over and over (spamming) will get you removed from the site.
Q: Why are few/no ads coming up when I search?
A: There may not be ads placed in all available ad categories and/or sub-categories. Try broadening your search by searching all ads for that particular category.
Q: Is it beneficial to complete the optional ad information when placing ads?
A: Yes… filling out as much information when placing your ad increases the chances of your ad coming up in search results. A good example of this would be including your “Item Location”. If a visitor to our site searches ads by location your advertisement will not be displayed if you didn’t list a location.
Q: Is it beneficial to list an ad to the same category more than once?
A: You can do it, but it's not necessary. Because TGC asks a few more questions of our sellers when placing ads, buyers can quickly find any ad on the site. In fact, listing the same ad over and over in the same category (spamming) … or even in different categories … can get you banned from the site.
Q: What about shipping the item(s) I sell to buyers?
A: When you sell an item it is recommended that you choose the best method by which to send it to the buyer. For example, if your shipping a set of golf clubs you may want to consider shipping via UPS or Fed Ex as you have the ability to track your package. For more shipping help, see our Shipping page.
